The Thuringian police force is recruiting new recruits with a new image film. It has now been presented to schoolchildren. The video bears the slogan “We’ll do it safely”.
“With this campaign, we are targeting schoolchildren in order to arouse their interest,” explained Minister of the Interior Georg Maier (SPD). Many do not know how varied and exciting it is to be a policeman or policewoman. This year, the state is looking for 250 candidates for the intermediate police service and 50 for the higher police service.
The new image film is 70 seconds long, is accompanied by a voice familiar from Hollywood films and shows different areas of police work. It was produced by an agency from Berlin. The filming took place in Meiningen, Oberhof, Gutendorf and Gotha. Except for two children, all the protagonists in the film are from the Thuringian police. The current campaign to recruit young talent for the Thuringian police is scheduled to run for four years, including an extension option for twelve months. Until the end of 2025, a total of about 1.5 million euros has been earmarked for recruiting young talent for the Thuringian police.
