The Union of Police (GdP) was founded on 14 September 1950 in Hamburg. It emerged from the interests of the police community in the British Zone and West Berlin, which was formed on the basis of various police settlements on March 16, Since then, the GdP has been open to all police workers (policemen, administrative officials and tariff workers) as members of the profession.
